• Try to avoid highly pro­cessed foods with too much sugar, salt, food ad­di­tives and preser­va­tives. Read the la­bels! Know what you are eat­ing.

• Keep your­self hy­drated by drink­ing lots of wa­ter as this has been proven to aid in weight loss and sup­press hun­gry. Drink a glass of wa­ter be­fore your meals so you won’t be tempted to overeat.

• Cook your food at home. You save money and you are in con­trol of what you eat. I make my oats overnight for break­fast. It’s easy, yummy and fill­ing.

• Try juic­ing or smooth­ies. I drink them very of­ten. It’s a quick hunger-re­liever that’s packed with nu­tri­tion. When I worked long hours in the avi­a­tion in­dus­try, I had a juice blender in the pantry. When­ever I was hun­gry in be­tween meals, I whipped up a smoothie.
