Masyitah’s healthy-eating tips:
• Try to avoid highly processed foods with too much sugar, salt, food additives and preservatives. Read the labels! Know what you are eating.
• Keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water as this has been proven to aid in weight loss and suppress hungry. Drink a glass of water before your meals so you won’t be tempted to overeat.
• Cook your food at home. You save money and you are in control of what you eat. I make my oats overnight for breakfast. It’s easy, yummy and filling.
• Try juicing or smoothies. I drink them very often. It’s a quick hunger-reliever that’s packed with nutrition. When I worked long hours in the aviation industry, I had a juice blender in the pantry. Whenever I was hungry in between meals, I whipped up a smoothie.
