Opus Bistro
WHY GO
Tucked away in a secluded corner of Bangsar, Opus Bistro is a cosy, intimate hideout for a quiet Italian meal. On weekends, it gets considerably busy so be sure to call ahead.
TATLER TIPS
The usual Italian suspects—such as pasta and risotto—feature on the menu, alongside a grill selection of chilled Australian grain-fed beef.
• For a starter that hits the spot, go for the mushroom surprise, which turns out to be surprisingly good. The mushrooms are cooked in a bag to lock in the flavours and served garlicky, soft and redolent of herbs.
• Signature dishes such as the roasted cod and grilled lamb cutlets are sure winners with their well-honed execution.
• Save room for the chocolate cake, which comes with plenty of molten chocolate sauce and just the right sweetness.
