L’assiette
WHY GO
Thanks to its remote location, L’assiette is not a restaurant that diners simply stumble across. It requires a conscientious plan to visit but suffice to say, you will not be sorry.
TATLER TIPS
The cuisine is unashamedly traditional fine French and all the dishes are exquisitely executed by the French chef and his team. Note that there is a dress code and an adults-only policy.
• Kick-start the meal with the cream of zucchini soup, which has a delicately fragrant flavour and is the perfect complement to a crabmeat quenelle.
• For mains, we recommend the Wagyu beef, four slices of richly marbled, perfectly cooked meat.
• The flexi chocolate ganache is more an elongated slab of thin rich soft chocolate made more inviting by a tangy mango sorbet and caramalised banana.
