Apart from a classic menu featuring steakhouse staples, there is also a separate so-called “fusion” menu, which features options such as baked cod with edamame beans.

• Classic soups like French onion, mushroom, chicken consommé and creamy butternut squash are given a fresh edge with modern accompanim­ents.

• For mains, there is an excellent roasted lamb rack with ratatouill­e, and steak galore any which way you want it.

• You can’t go wrong with the set meal, which offers a classic prawn and melon cocktail, a very decent potato and leek soup, a choice of perch or filet mignon and dessert.
