WHY GO

This is a sleek five-star setting that serves up an extensive range of non-halal Chinese dishes alongside plenty of action in the show kitchen.

TATLER TIPS

Variety certainly spices up the menu. Expect a wide selection that runs the gamut from dim sum and Peking duck to fresh vegetables cooked with 10 different cooking techniques.

Live seafood— including empurau fish, Sai Sing grouper and krai kunyit (two days’ notice)—steamed, crisp-fried with golden ginger, fried with lemongrass et al, is a speciality here. The barbecue selection such as the house-smoked wild duck and the roasted pork belly may well make a regular of you. The latter comprises 10 dainty cubes of the sweetest and juiciest pork meat imaginable. The “secret” home-made crispy pork belly with succulent slivers of meat is well worth the 30 minutes' wait.
