Expect an interesting blend of Malay and Indian dishes spiked with lots of spice. Think ayam percik, rendang daging and biryani alongside butter chicken, tandoori and garlic naan.
For a taste of Asia, start with the campur campur, featuring chicken satay accompanied by an excellent peanut sauce, fish pokaras and poached tiger prawns with tangy green mango salad rolled in rice paper. The signature kambing kali Miri is a juicy tender rack of lamb marinated with cumin, coriander, fennel, garlic, black pepper and yoghurt, and highly recommended. Another signature is the assam pedas with sea bass fillet simmered in tamarind gravy and served with okra and fresh tomatoes.
