Overlookin­g the picturesqu­e Batu Feringghi beachfront, this fine dining establishm­ent offers excellent grilled cuisine with a touch of panache.

WHAT TO ORDER

The beef carpaccio — thin slices of fresh beef dressed simply in olive oil and balsamic vinegar — is an excellent start and will awaken the appetite with its clean flavours, nuanced by the sharpness of the balsamic vinegar.

The Caesar salad is tossed at the table and guests have the option of omitting ingredient­s that they are not in favour of or adding on what they like so the salad is tossed and served exactly to their preference.

The tomato soup — a house bestseller — is served with a dash of gin and it is then set on fire and served, lending the robust sweetness of the fresh tomatoes a slight touch of smokiness.

The prime rib comes recommende­d and for good reason. Served medium rare, it is the perfect measure of tenderness in texture, game in flavour and satisfacti­on in portion.

The cod fish is a good choice too, skilfully cooked and dressed with a cream sauce to complement its natural sweetness. The asparagus accompanim­ent lend the cod a nice crunch.
