The restaurant is simplistic in style and can get rather loud if there is a crowd so it is definitely better for families or groups. The presentation at each food station is attractive and there is a sufficient variety of food. Start at the cold seafood counter where fresh prawns, oysters and cold crabs are served. All the seafood is fresh and delightful.

Next, head to the grilled meats counter where everything is cooked right there and then. While the other meats are wellmarinated, the satay is outstanding in terms of taste and aroma. Side dishes at the counter — salads, vegetables and potatoes — are well-kept in respective bowls and containers and are fresh and tasty. There are also grilled slipper lobster tails, which are extremely fresh and sweet.

The food that definitely stands out is the Malay and Indian cuisines, particularly the beef rendang and lamb varuval, as they exude authentic tastes and flavours. The noodle station is rather interesting as it has three different types of soup and a wide choice of noodles. Both the curry and prawn-flavoured soups are fragrant and served hot. The chef is meticulous in ensuring that the noodles and the various condiments — fish ball, fish cakes and tofu — are well cooked.

The dessert counter also offers plenty of choices with cooked-to-order waffles and pancakes, many small finger cakes, small bowls of bread and butter pudding, ice-kacang, ice-cream and a chocolate fountain. The desserts are not particularly sweet and the cakes are lovely and moist.
