Finicky eaters will marvel at Tatsu’s regard for diners’ dietary restrictions; after all, nonjapanese speakers can find it hard to decipher ingredients with Japanese names. The wellrounded menu gives prominence to Chef Tommy’s specialities, which include the Sumiyaki Wagyu; every order of the meat dish comes with an individual charcoal grill;it only takes a couple of minutes to grill the premium beef to perfection. The soft-shell crab and avocado roll with peanut sauce, a best-seller at Tatsu, might seem like a large portion, but trust us when we say that you’ll easily demolish all eight pieces. Sake and beer take pride of place on the beverage menu as does Japanese whisky and wine stored in an impressive glass room.
