Like its older sibling Ruyi & Lin, Yu by Ruyi prides itself for its modern take on all things traditional, but unlike the former, the focus here is on dim sum, which is made fresh and served daily from 11am to 4pm. Chef James Ho’s creations arrive on the table looking as if it’s crafted just to be Instagrammed—prime examples of this are the Crispy Swan and the Wagyu Puff. Hearty and flavourful, the Imperial Lobak pan-fried radish cake and W.C.K.T. (wagyu char koay teow) will certainly satisfy. Down some Chinese tea, if you will, but this is Yu after all, so opt for an exquisitely concocted cocktail; the Bruce Lee is an excellent choice. Come for the food, be delighted with the service as staff take time to explain the menu and give recommendations.
