- By Terence Toh

The first thing one notices when stepping into

WIP On The Park is the abundance of greenery. Whether suspended from the ceiling, sprouting out of pots by the stairways, or blossoming in an art installation on the wall, plants are everywhere. It really does feel like you’ve stepped into a park.

This picturesque scene is the latest brainchild of the SOULED OUT Group, the driving force behind some of the most beloved restaurants in the city. Having thrived in the dining scene for over 26 years, the group shows no signs of slowing down, and now proudly presents a new urban hotspot to eat, drink and be merry.

“Encapsulating various elements of the city’s enchanting charm, from its colourful heritage to the plethora of cultures, WIP On The Park aims to transport guests back to the city that never sleeps. Our team has created a food and beverage menu that will see everyone eat and drink their way through the rich diversity of Malaysia’s local and international offerings,” says SOULED OUT group executive director Michele Kwok.

Located in Kuala Lumpur’s deluxe Marc

Residences, the eatery is the reinvented form of Tujo Bar-serrie and Grill.

WIP On The Park has been envisioned as an urban oasis for denizens of the city and features a striking contemporary interior complete with cascading windows and lush plant walls. This trendy gastropub is located on a massive 10,000 sq ft atrium with a scenic platform perfect for alfresco dining.

Its design is a mirror to WIP Bangsar, another of the SOULED OUT group’s celebrated restaurants.

Those seeking to wet their whistles will be delighted by the comprehensive beverage selections. Enjoy a variety of specialised wines from around the world, chug some local beers, or take your pick from an expansive spirit menu encompassing whiskies, gin,

rum, vodka, brandy and tequila. Alternatively, try the Cabernet Mojito, Smash Hit, Coco-groni, Tropic Thunder, or any of the imaginative concoctions on the cocktail list. Each has been crafted from all-natural ingredients and the finest spirits.

Unsure of what to have? Mention your preferred taste profiles to one of their knowledgeable bartenders, who will be more than happy to recommend the best liquid refreshment to enhance your night out.

Food-wise, WIP On the Park prides itself on satisfying, cosmopolitan offerings that draw inspiration from a variety of cuisines. With almost 100 flavourful dishes available, diners will definitely be spoilt for choice. Crowd-pleasers such as the Coastal Aglio

Olio, Kerala Style Fish in Banana Leaf and Chicken Makanwala are a permanent fixture on the menu, while other items such as the Black Angus Fried

Kway Teow have had a recipe makeover to cater to the more sophisticated palate of today’s food lovers.

Also check out brand new entrees such as the Short Rib Nasi Lemak, Kashmiri Lamb Rack, Wagyu Truffle Pesto Burger, and Seafood Tom Yum Fettuccine, which combine the best of Asian and European flavours.

Celebrity chef and reigning Queen of Spices

Sapna Anand also has a guest spot at the restaurant. Those who enjoy dishes infused with the best, freshest and finest Indian spices can look forward to thematic dining sessions with the famed culinary maestro during her exclusive Chef’s Table nights.

With its charming interior and dazzling array of culinary choices, WIP On the Park is the perfect venue for social gatherings of all stripes.
