Healthy Zero-alcohol Drinks

Le Petit Béret offers all the indulgence of a good drink minus the alcohol and calories

-

Le Petit Béret is embracing the health trend with its natural wines that are organic and veganfriendly, as well as low in sugar. More significantly, these beverages contain zero traces of alcohol.

This was the gamble that the co-founders agriculture engineer Fathi Benni and renowned sommelier Dominique Laporte took and it paid off for them when they won the Innovative Award 2021 in France.

There can be too much of a good thing and in case you didn’t realise, alcohol contains a lot of calories and sugar. Le Petit Béret offers a healthier alternative without compromising on quality and the complex nuances of a good wine. It’s motivated by the belief that if the right alcohol-free drinks are made available, there will be a genuine demand for them. Think premiumtasting, vegan-friendly beverages without preservatives and artificial colourings—an all-natural solution that sidesteps the conventional fermentation process entirely.

They are made with grapes from the vineyards of Languedoc Roussillon in southern France, using an innovative technique that also reduces sugar content. The juice is drained by gravity into another tank and marc is collected to be pressed. In order to achieve the different taste profiles, different juices are expertly combined by Laporte, who was adjudged the Best Sommelier of France in 2004.

From Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to Rosé Gris, Le Petit Béret’s selections pair well with a gourmet meal, as evidenced by their presence at some of the finest hotels in Europe, including The Connaught in London and Morris Hotel in Paris.
