Blanc at Macalister Mansion

This beautiful setting in the heart of George Town is great for hosting guests or date nights. Located within the historic Macalister Mansion, this venue wows from the first seconds, thanks to its awe-inspiring white décor accentuated by blue accroutements. Expect a fairpriced degustation meal in a relaxing atmosphere, with pretty plates of well-prepared food. Chef Benny Yeoh dazzles with a wide range of ingredients, all specially chosen from his many years of experience. We particularly enjoyed the amuse bouches, the langoustine and the coral grouper. The dishes were delectable and well-seasoned despite cooling unduly fast due to the cold environment. Service was good despite the place being a bit understaffed on busy Thursday night. The staff’s dish explanation certainly had room for improvement. Shoutout to the dessert team, however, who did a great job with the texture of the ganache in their petite fours - silky and smooth.
