Lai Po Heen
Lai Po Heen serves classic Cantonese fare in an understated and elegant setting, making it one of the best places for southern Chinese cuisine in Kuala Lumpur. The White Radish and Roasted Duck Dumplings are the prettiest dim sum as they come in the form of a swan. The Siew Mai contains tender scallop and chicken pieces while the Cod Fish Dumplings are filled with prawn pieces. But the prize for most outstanding taste has to go to the Golden Fried Prawn and Mango Rolls with Breadcrumbs, served with a tangy Mayo and Wasabi dip. The Traditional Peking Duck is carved up, then slathered with hoisin sauce, and rolled up in a pancake wrap. Hitting all the right taste buds, the meat is then used for Hong Kong Style E Fu Noodles. This is probably one of the best braised noodle dishes in town, the subtle flavour of its ingredients permeating every single strand.
