This lavish Changkat Bukit Bintang restaurant is a newcomer to Kuala Lumpur’s fine dining scene but is rapidly making a name for itself with its excellent selections of French and Chinese fusion cuisine. The food preparation techniques here are flawless, the presentation stunning. Executive Chef Shirosan’s refined fare doesn’t just tantalise the tastebuds but also looks great on your Instagram feed. Its Ora King Salmon is nice and flaky, while the Foie Gras Brulee and Mushroom de Ultime are standouts. Overall, you can expect a pleasant time at Ultime especially if you enjoy the best ingredients and truffles shaved on everything. There’s even a special vegetarian menu. Our only gripe was the quality of its servers, who could use some training in pronouncing the names of the dishes.
