YTL Group’s new corporate headquarters, Menara YTL, eloquently expresses the company’s values and aspirations through design and art

-

Menara YTL, the new corporate headquarters for the YTL Group of companies, marks an important milestone in 67 year history. From a humble homegrown construction business to a global conglomerate, Menara YTL is a the physical representation of how far the group has come and what they hope to achieve in the future.

Working with world-class consultants, YTL Land’s in-house team created a new architectural landmark in Kuala Lumpur’s central business and shopping district. American architecture firm KPF Associates was appointed to design the sleek tower with a “crystal” façade finish. The crystal effect is achieved through artfully folded glass that creates a gem-like effect.

For the interiors, Singapore headquartered. Ministry of Design was commissioned to create the interior design concept as well as incorporate engaging spaces. Located on Level 8, 9 and 10, these spaces promote a collaborative atmosphere and work culture.

An unforgettable first impression is created by renowned Studio Sawada Design’s art installation which fills the 7-storey atrium with a glittering kinetic sculpture. Known as “Leaves”, the sculptural interpretation of ‘Komorebi’, an untranslatable Japanese word, poetically captures the effect of sunlight streaming through tree leaves.

Renowned landscape architect and sculptor, Dr

Colin Okashimo created Strength in Unity Series 2. An outdoor installation found on the 8th floor deck, the unique circular arrangement symbolises metaphorical expressions associated with the Group’s late founder, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Yeoh Tiong Lay.
