This stalwart of popular restaurant strip of Jalan Bangkung continues to offer up time-tested Italian classics in a cosy and intimate ambience.
Commence the meal with the generous Opus special combo platter, a smorgasbord of deep-fried baby squid, sautéed mushrooms, smoked salmon rolls with rocket salad, asparagus beef rolls, fried chicken tenders and baked scallops in sharing portions. Another firm favourite starter is the Caprese salad.
From its impressive pasta list, the spaghetti ala Opus is a good choice. It’s a hearty, generous bowl of spaghetti coated in a light, clean tomato sauce and packed with fresh, succulent seafood. The grilled New Zealand rack of lamb is a winning choice of main with its three substantial cutlets skilfully seared on the outside whilst maintaining a juicy, pink interior. Another outstanding main is the crowd favourite roasted cod. It is roasted to perfection and flakes to the touch with a white wine and Kalamata olive sauce adding zing to the dish.
An elegant end to the meal comes in the form of the Opus special tiramisu, a splendid and scrumptious interpretation of the classic dessert.
