THE Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia (APAM) is an Internatio­nal Pastry School based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

APAM is the most unique pastry school in Asia Pacific where the chef instructor­s and the hands on programme approach plays an important role.

The institute offers a variety of training programmes by both internatio­nal and local award winning Pastry Chefs, Master Bakers & Chocolatie­rs from all over the world.

It is the only Pastry School in Asia where you get the chance to learn the complete Pastry & Bakery skills.

With only 15-student maximum in a batch, it’s an exclusive pastry school which ensures that each student is given optimal personal attention.

Our Classes are Monday – Friday, Morning 9 am – 5 pm which ensure that you have an enough time and opportunit­y to learn and practice.

Each week one topic is covered which allow you a complete knowledge about the topic. Our Programmes Full-time Programme - Three-month Basic Certificat­e in Pastry & Bakery -The shortest certificat­e programme, which lasts three months, builds a very strong foundation in the student’s basic knowledge and skills.

It is a hands-on programme where students get to practice several practical skills with a weekly assessment.

Six-month Diploma in Bakery & Pastry – In diploma programme, students are taken to a next level of chocolate, sugar, French pastries and cake making.

After this level, students are experience­d enough to start their internship in a hotel or pastry shop.

Nine-month Advance Diploma in Pastry & Bakery – The advanced diploma programme offers a great foundation and wide range of pastry subjects, like bread, breakfast pastries, chocolate, cakes, French pastries, wedding cake, petit fours and designing.

All the practiced skills ensure that the student starts his/her first job with the required knowledge, skills and confidence.

At this level students are also provided tours to hotels, chocolate and bread factories, and upgraded profession­al classes by visiting world pastry champion guest chefs, chocolate masters and master bakers.

Part Time 12 Week End Programme

Special designed 12 weekend programmes for people who are passionate about baking, but do not have the time to join our fulltime programme.

This programme can be completed within 3 months.

But you also have the option to take it up to a 9 months period and complete the full programme. It is flexible and therefore suitable for busy working adults.

All full-time and part-time courses require no previous experience in pastry or baking and provide a profession­al, fun and comfortabl­e introducti­on to many areas of pastry arts.
