Director Jiang Wen’s Eurasian daughter taking the internet by storm
BEIJING: Jiang Yilang, the Eurasian daughter of Chinese actor and director Jiang Wen, is taking the internet by storm after her photos were recently leaked online.
Jiang Yilang, 20 ,is the daughter of Jiang Wen and his first wife, French actress Sandrine Chenivisse. She was born in 1994 in north China’s Hebei province and is currently studying in Paris.
She first came into public view when she attended the 2000 Cannes Film Festival with her parents, yet kept a low profile after her parents divorced, which happened some time after her father became involved with Chinese actress Zhou Yun during the filming of Warriors of Heaven and Earth in 2002. Jiang Wen later married Zhou in 2005 and now have two children together.
Jiang, whom netizens say resembles Hong Kong starlet Angelababy and Chinese movie star Fan Bingbing, has been spotted recently tagging along with her father during promotions for his new film Gone with the Bullets. Reports indicate that her father does not want her to join the entertainment industry and is encouraging her to pursue her goal of becoming a professional photographer.
Since being noticed in recent months, Jiang Yilang’s photos have become very popular among Chinese netizens, who say she is so beautiful that she makes their noses bleed.
Jiang Wen is said to be very smitten with his daughter and has her photos all over his office. He says she does not speak much when they are alone, but is like a normal chatty teenager when she is with her friends. He even once reportedly said, “My daughter is the most beautiful woman in the world.”
