Kota Kinabalu’s UTC ePerolehan to offer GST rgistration advice
KOTA KINABALU: The ePerolehan Centre (ePC) at the Urban Transformation Centre(UTC) Sabah here, will of fer compan ies reg ist rat ion services f or the Goods and Service Tax (GST).
Suriati Mohd Mokhtar, Deputy President, Corporate Communications and Marketing, Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd, Said the ePC will offer the service in cooperation with the Customs Department.
“In line with the call by the government, the ePC, will offer the registration service as well as training for the GST. We will work with the Customs Department to enhance further the number of GST registrations from among government suppliers,” she told Bernama.
The UTC Sabah, which has been in operation since Dec 16, 2013 was of f icially opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Sunday night.
Suriati said the UTC Sabah is a one-stop centre for government suppl iers undertaking ePerolehan business.
She added that the ePC services offered at the UTC involves customer services, PC pool and as a training centre.
There are 16 such cent res throughout the country with seven at UTC nationwide.
According to Suriati, t he centre receives enquiries from about 15,000 companies monthly on how to become government suppliers, make payments and attending trainings.
