Adele ignores phone calls to get her to participate in Band Aid

ADELE ignored Sir Bob Geldof’s Band Aid phone calls.

The ‘Skyfall’ hitmaker is said to have been approached by the charity record’s organisers and Bob, 63, countless times but refused to respond to their efforts to get her to participate.

He told The Sun newspaper: “Adele is doing nothing. She’s not answering the phone.

“She’s not writing. She’s not recording. She doesn’t want to be bothered by anyone.”

In spite of the efforts of the Boomtown Rats star and songwriter Midge Ure, Adele, 26, “didn’t even bother” to explain her decision to turn down their offer.

A Band Aid source said: “We made 100 phone calls to Adele because Bob and Midge were desperate for her to take part.
