Shareda, MCA Penampang honour media
KOTA KINABALU: Media practitioners play a vital role in conveying the right information to the public in the era of Internet and information technology (IT), said Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) president Datuk Francis Goh.
Goh,whoisalsoMCAPenampang deputy president, said this during a dinner for the media here on Saturday.
The event was jointly organized by Shareda and MCA Penampang in appreciation of the media’s coverage of their activities for the past year.
“MCA Penampang and Shareda are indebted to the press, especially the local papers, which have helped us in propagating the good deeds and activities conducted by both associations,” he said, while expressing his gratitude to the journalists, in particular.
Also present were Shareda deputy president Chew Sang Hai, Shareda honorary secretarygeneral Datuk Sr Chua Soon Ping, MCAPenampangdivisionpresident Datuk Paul Kong, Penampang district officer Luvita Koisun and Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) president Jimmy Goh.
The four MCA Penampang division leaders, who were recently sworn in as members of the Penampang District Council, namely, Kinsabina chief operating officer Gerald Goh Wah Yong, lawyer Judy Hiew, Robert Chin Swee Ming and Stephen Kong Yin Seng were also present.
