Luyang cops get hampers, mandarin oranges

KOTA KINABALU: To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, RELA honorary Lieutenant Colonel Dato’Wong Chong Fah distribute­d hampers and mandarin oranges to the Luyang police station, the Luyang RELA Community Service Centre (PKKR), I nanam PKKR and Kampung Warisan PKKR in appreciati­on of the officers and personnel’s contributi­on towards ensuring safety of the people.

Wong was accompanie­d by Luyang assemblyma­n Hiew King Cheu, Kota Kinabalu RELA chief Mohd Bakry Mohd Baily and Tan Ek Piew.

Wong said RELA had been working hand in hand with the police in security tasks since its inception.

“RELA has greatly contribute­d in terms of carrying out joint patrols and operations and maintainin­g order along with the police.”

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, Wong is taking the opportunit­y to show his appreciati­on for the hard work of the police and RELA personnel by giving out hampers and mandarin oranges.

He also encouraged RELA personnel to remain steadfast in their jobs and continue to work hard for the public’s safety.

“We believe that

the society will contributi­ons.”

Wong also vowed to do his level best to assist RELA so that they could better serve the people.

Previously, Wong donated 50 T-shape batons to Kota Kinabalu RELA.

Meanwhile, Bakry commended Wong for his contributi­ons, adding that his visits would upli ft the morale of RELA personnel.
