MIRI: Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan is confident that Sarawak will develop much better under the current leadership of Barisan Nasional (BN)

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem, Sarawak will become more prosperous than before. As an ‘outsider’ being in Sarawak (married to a Sarawakian), I can clearly see this taking places alongside other developmental changes.

“Such rapid developmental changes are not only happening in one or two areas, but in hundreds across the state. Therefore, I hope the state government under the leadership of BN and its component parties headed by PBB, would be given the strength in facing the next state election; thus maintaining its leadership in Sarawak and bringing more developments for the state,” he said when officiating at the launch of Piasau-based Freelander Tech International Sdn Bhd – a company engaged in project leadership and green management of the oil and gas industry – here recently.

Ahmad Maslan said the BN government had been giving opportunities for the people to live in peace and harmony in this state, as well as assisting them to improve their living standards.

“Under the BN government, we have been given a various range of assistance, f rom health to education, apart from the endless business opportunities – as long as these businesses are legal,” he added.

He elaborated that by maintaining the leadership under the BN government, the politics would be stable which in turn, would provide opportunities for entrepreneurs and those planning to venture into business, to further grow and expand.

“I assure you that if BN continues to be given the mandate to lead this state, we would continue taking care of the nation’s economy and protect the interest of Sarawak as well,” he said.
