New OM-D E-M5 Mark II brings unparalled freedom

KUALA LUMPUR: Olympus Imaging announced the new OMD E-M5 Mark II interchang­eable lens camera that has the world’s most advanced 5-axis i mage stabilisat­ion system.

The new 16 megapixel OMD E-M5 Mark II symbolises photograph­ic freedom with its in-body 5-axis Image Stabilisat­ion with up to five shutter speed steps of shake-compensati­on, cinematic quality ‘OM-D Movie’ stabilised video recording, and reliable splash and dust-proofing.

Its special Hi Res Shot mode uses advanced sensor-shifting technology that captures 40 megapixel ‘full-frame’ resolution quality photos.

This high-performanc­e technology lets you confidentl­y embrace the world of natural light photograph­y, empowers you to shoot sports, nature, and wildlife photos with telephoto lenses sans tripod, and helps you capture the fascinatin­g macro world with just the camera in hand.

The E-M5 Mark II’s superb video IS ability makes highqualit­y filmmaking much easier to achieve for the video novice.

Video is recorded at Full HD resolution with a choice of 24, 25, 30 and 60P frame rates.

All-Intra and IPB recording modes can be selected with (approximat­e) maximum bitrates of 77Mbps and 52Mbps respective­ly.

Olympus Imaging also announced the launch of the new M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f4.05.6 II super-zoom type lens for OMD and PEN cameras.

A new profession­al M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm f1.8 PRO fisheye lens is now in developmen­t.

Not only that, Olympus Imaging also announces the new 16 megapixel Stylus TG-860 Tough compact digital camera with the widest zoom lens amongst active lifestyle ‘tough’ cameras.

The new mid-range Olympus Stylus TG-860 features the industry’s widest *21mm zoom lens in the active lifestyle camera market, POV recording functional­ity and advanced ruggedness.

Its 180-degree capable tilt screen enables easy compositio­n for underwater shooting and superwide angle selfies.
