AJINOMOTO does its bit for flood victims

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians have generously come forward with their efforts and donations to help the victims of the current flood crisis.

Over200,000peoplehavealready been evacuated to relief centres, and this has put a huge strain on resources, especially the need to provide not just food but properlycooked meals to the evacuees.

AJINOMOTO (Malaysia) Berhad has stepped forward and has kindly donated 3,000 cartons of their TUMIX® Kuah gravy enhancer, worth over RM140,000, to the Malaysian Red Crescent for use at the flood evacuation relief centres.

AJINOMOTO realised the need for such a product in this situation, as it is something that will save the food preparation teams a lot of time, effort and resources. TUMIX® Kuah will reduce or even eliminate the need to use scarce ingredients such as salt, garlic and onions, as it already contains these ingredients.

TUMIX® Kuah can be used to enhance the taste of all kinds of gravy dishes and soups, and even stir-fry dishes. AJINOMOTO hopes that this will make it easier for the food preparation volunteers to provide proper, nutritious and tasty cooked meals to the victims.

The company is also looking into other ways to help in the relief efforts, and is proud to help the many volunteers and relief agencies who are working so tirelessly to help their fellow Malaysians in this time of great need.
