Tambunan can be benchmark for developmen­t in other districts – CM

TAMBUNAN: Successful­l developmen­ts in Tambunan district can be used as a benchmark for project developmen­ts in other districts.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj Aman said the 100 percent achievemen­t in providing electricit­y and water to all villages in Tambunan is remarkable.

Musa was speaking to reporters after attending a briefing on developmen­ts in Tambunan and Keningau districts.

Tambunan District Officer Thomas Logijin presented the briefing on Tambunan while Keningau District officer Haji Yusof Hj Osman presented on Keningau.

Musa said he was impressed with the briefings which was also attended by directors of relevant department­s such as Land and Survey, Water and Irrigation, JKR, Education Department and local leaders.

He said the briefings dealt with developmen­ts in the districts, the completed projec ts, the abandoned projects which needed revival, projects to eradicate poverty, houses for hard core poor, constructi­on of bridges, in frastructu­re, mosques and schools, improving agricultur­al and tourism sectors.

Musa said the briefing gave an eye view of the existing problems and gave an opprtunity for everyone to involve in the process of completing the projects.

Musa, accompanie­d by his deputy Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan and other entourage later visited the Mahua waterfall and the Tambunan Cheshire Home.
