3D hologram machine for Hakka Unicorn Convention
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah World Hakka Unicorn Convention 2015 yesterday received another boost of support after receiving a sponsorship of a 3D hologram machine by All4One Productions to promote the Convention.
During the presentation ceremony at the convention’s official venue, Oceanus Waterfront Mall, All4One Productions director Ken Fu presented to the convention committee a customised 3D hologram machine which displays the convention’s poster design as well as other artwork.
Organising chairman and president of the Sabah Dragon, Unicorn and Lion Dance Association, Dr Danny Kok, said that the committee is very happy to receive such kind support from All4One Productions as the 3D hologram machine brings a whole new dimension for the development of the Hakka Unicorn Dance not just in Sabah, but also all around the world.
“This 3D hologram machine does not just simply mark a whole new way to promote and advertise a product or an event, but it marries our efforts to preserve an ancient tradition and cultural heritage together with modern technology.
“I think that this is an important milestone for us as we are witnessing tradition and technology working in unison and this is a clear indication of the direction we will be heading towards in preserving, promoting and developing the Hakka Unicorn,” he said.
According to Fu, it is an honor for him to be part of the world’s first international level Hakka Unicorn Convention and he is contributing towards the cause with the donation of the 3D hologram machine.
“I am pleased to know that the committee is very happy with the 3D hologram machine and what it does to promote the Convention,” said Fu.
Members of the public are welcome to see the 3D hologram machine which is located at the main entrance of the Oceanus Waterfront Mall where it is put up for display for the public to see free of charge.
The committee would also like to invite the public to attend and witness the very first Sabah World Hakka Unicorn Convention 2015 on March 27, which will begin at the Gaya Centre Hotel at 8.15am with the flagging-off of the opening parade of all the participants of the convention, followed by the official launching ceremony at Oceanus Waterfront Mall at 10am.
Among the main attractions of the convention will be the setting of two Malaysian records, first being the largest Unicorn head replica made with traditional materials and method and the Most Number of Unicorn Heads Dancing in a single performance.
Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir will be officiating at the flag-off ceremony.
