Bazaar to showcase KK food and beverages
KOTA KINABALU: The Savoury & Sweet Wow Bazaar 2014 will showcase the city’s food and beverages with the aim to introduce the local savoury and sweet food by Sabahans, including other international popular street food, to the community and tourists.
During the event on June 13-14 at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, participating outlets will showcase new or limited edition menus, some with limited time promotional prices which visitors may sample and enjoy.
Visitors also can buy discount vouchers and then further indulge their newly discovered food and beverages at their favourite restaurants or outlets after the bazaar.
They can also expect many types of desserts, be it savoury or sweet. International street food from Japan and Korea will entice visitors along with Sabah’s own combinations of new healthy juices and ice-creams.
The event, organized by Wow Bazaar Entrepreneurs Club Sabah, will not only be filled with food and beverages but also exciting activities, among them blood donation campaign, colouring contest for children, baking demonstrations, kitchen aid demonstration and a cake decorating contest which is open to students of culinary arts or home bakers.
The cake decorating contest will be judged by three culinary arts chefs from renowned hotels around Kota Kinabalu, and the prizes are sponsored by the club and also Mrs Nancy Lim Sincere Skill Academy.
All cakes from the cake decorating contest will be auctioned off to the public and proceeds will be channeled to the club’s appointed charity body.
