Lorde ‘making tunes’ with Disclosure duo
NEW ZEALAND singersongwriter Lorde announced on Wednesday that she’s working on new music wth UK dance duo Disclosure.
In a tweet, Lorde posted a photo of herself sipping a milkshake with the caption, “making tunes and getting oreo milkshakes with @disclosure.”
The singer and producer duo previously teamed up at this year’s Brit Awards, where they performed a mash-up of Lorde’s “Royals” and Disclosure’s “White Noise.”
Lorde is either making music and, independent of that, decided to take a quick reprieve and enjoy, nature, Disclosure’s company, and an Oreo milkshake.
Either that of Lorde and the electronic duo are putting their musical brains together and took a group break to indulge in the cookie-laden dairy treat.
Previously, they had brought down the roof after teaming up at the 2014 Brit Awards for an awesome “Royals”/ ”White Noise” collaboration.
Meanwhile, Lorde admits her life has changed in a “crazy” way since she first found fame but she feels “very lucky” to have so many experiences.
She told the new issue of Australia’s Vogue magazine: “It’s crazy going from living in a country that feels kind of small — and I’d never travelled, really — then coming to LA or New York for the first time, and meeting all these people outside your group of friends from high school.
“The world has expanded for me in this incredible way. It’s cool, and I’m very lucky that I get to surround myself with creative people who are clever and good at what they do.”
While she enjoys going to America, Lorde — whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor — feels most comfortable in her native New Zealand as she can lead a normal life there.
She explained: “It is easier to have a normal life back home. I think everyone knows that they’re going to see me around, that I’m going to be buying gum from a gas station or whatever. “The shine rubs off when you’re like: ‘Oh yeah, my friend met her in the supermarket the other day.’ I think people are much more chill about it. Yeah, people are good there, respectful. I love living in New Zealand.” — Relaxnews/ BANG
