Unity Ride, Run now open for registration
KOTA KINABALU: Community Advent and Casero Events are organising a Unity Ride/Run event to be held at the Likas Stadium here next month.
The event on July 19 is open to everyone and is aimed at promoting unity among the community through fun riding and running.
Casero Events managing director Steve Mositun said the chairperson for the event is Sabah Sports Board chairman Datuk Louis Rampas.
“Thanks to the consent of Datuk Louis, we are able to announce this event early to attract as many participants as possible with the aim of promoting unity through fun riding and running,” he said.
“The event starts at 6am and registration is now open until July 5 for those who are interested in joining,” Steve added.
Participants who have confirmed their entries can collect their event T-shirts at the Kota Kinabalu City Hall from 3pm-7pm on July 16 and 17. Entry fee is RM50 for the 10km Unity Run with attractive cash prizes up for grabs including a RM500 winner’s purse.
There are also prizes of RM400, RM300, RM200, RM100 and RM50 for second to sixth place winners.
Entry fee for the 5km Unity Fun Run and 25km Unity Fun Ride is RM25 per person (inclusive of an exclusive event T-shirt).
“We hope to gather the support of the communities from in and around Kota Kinabalu to help us make this a successful event and we look forward to seeing everyone there,” Steve said.
