Ismail Sabri: Continue supporting BN

-

TENOM: Umno Supreme Council member Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has called on the people here to continue supporting the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to stay in power in the state and country.

He believed that if people would continue their support for the government of the day, it could implement a lot of the government plans.

“The most important thing is that the people would remain as government supporters,” he said in his speech at a program with the people at Kampung Alutok Ulu Tomani here yesterday.

Ismail Sabri, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said that the government would focus on developing the rural areas and had spent a lot to provide developments for the people.

“I believe that more developments would be implemented by the BN government and even though it would take time, the people would enjoy the fruits of development that make them more comfortable,” he said.

He hoped the people would have confidence in the government by supporting and returning BN to power again the next general election.

Ismail Sabri also advised the people not to be swayed by the opposition propaganda, especially as the next general election gets closer.

“Before the elections I do believe those who are coming to see the people’s are wakil rakyat and heads of Umno divisions.

“The opposition do not exist anymore but I believe that in every election they are also busy visiting the people by making a lot of confusion to confuse the rakyat,” he said.

“The people in many areas under the opposition today feel disappointed for all that was promised by the opposition could not be implemented.

“In Sabah, I am confident and believe that the BN government would continue to rule this state. So if there is one or two or three state constituencies or parliamentary areas that fall into the hands of the opposition, this would still be meaningless because the BN is still in government,” he said.

So he reminded the people not to waste their vote to support the opposition because ultimately the people would be left behind if their state constituency or parliamentary fell to the opposition.

Ismail Sabri hoped that the people of Sabah, especially in Tenom, would continue to place their trust in the BN government and its leaders.

Present at the ceremony were Kemabong assemblyman and Tenom Umno chief Datuk Rubin Balang, Tenom MP Datuk Raime Unggi, Assistant Agriculture and Food Industry Minister and Keningau Umno chief Datuk Haji Sairin Karno, Pensiangan Umno chief Datuk Abdul Ghani Yassin, Senator Datuk Dr Lucas Umbul, District Officer Madiyem Layappan, District Police chief DSP Firdaus Abdullah, Umno and BN component leaders.
