SHAH ALAM: Doctor2U, a mobile uber healthcare application which allows patients to have easy access to doctors for immediate medical attention and treatment at home, has recorded over 12,000 users since its launch in October last year.

The founder of the application, Garvy Beh, who is also BP Healthcare Group IT vicepresident, said the mobile app developed by the company is accessible to anyone requesting a Malaysian registered qualified doctor to their door step, via iPhone and Android mobile devices, within 60 minutes.

“We have recorded 12,000 users of this app till yesterday since the launch in early October last year with 10 to 12 transactions taking place per day.

“Just by tapping a button on your mobile phone, medical service is rendered at your doorstep,” he told Bernama after attending BP Healthcare Group’s Chinese New Year open house near here yesterday.

The free Doctor2U app requires patients to submit a request, with information on what their medical issues or symptoms are, following which doctors within a 20km radius will be notified.

Doctors who choose to respond to the call will then be provided with the location and information on the patient. Garvy Beh said there are currently 250 doctors under their panel, including paediatricians and cardiologists to provide round-the-clock services to patients through the app in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Ipoh and Johor.

Doctor2U is available with the charge of a fixed rate of RM250 from (8am to 8pm) and RM420 (8pm to 8am) per request. - Bernama
