How MMTC plans to revolutionize the music-teaching and creative arts industry

-

MMTC has designed its syllabus to be more creativity-based rather than academic-based.

IN addition to the creativity-based syllabus, MMTC also includes entrepreneurship and life skills elements in its syllabus. It has three business models, namely the Playschool EEC, retail store and music production house & guitar gym (jamming studio). Graduates are encouraged to duplicate these models in their career path. The extra skills and knowledge makes MMTC graduates highly marketable in the creative arts industry, and not just in the music-teaching industry.

This is how MMTC hopes to reinvent the music-teaching industry and upscale human capital in the industry.

As the first life skill, vocational and academic college in Malaysia, MMTC wants parents to understand the importance of creative learning at par with academic learning. MMTC believes that creativity will be able to boost critical thinking, develop character and in the long run, will be able to help the country produce quality citizens and leaders.

Benefits for MMTC students

By following the syllabus and teaching concept MMTC students will graduate as multi-skilled individuals who are capable of multitasking. Their studies at MMTC will equip them with the skills to sell, teach and fix musical instruments, and made more competent and confident by the soft skills that they will be fully taught in MMTC.

The students will also be guaranteed employment, as they will have marketable skills that will appeal to employers.

For aspiring business owners, they will also receive benefit from the government who support small and medium enterprises (SME). The students will be able to apply for graduate funds.

Upon graduation, MMTC students have three business models to follow:

1. Licensee Retail Outlet - a 3+1 program that encompasses retail business, music education and product services (RES).

2. ECC Playschool Plus - is a centre for young children aged two and above. The playschool plus is a playschool that is conducted thematically with creative art concept.

This playschool will be housed in a building in the shape of an ark and it will employ certified medical professionals to closely monitor the safety of the children.

The creative art theme that the playschool classes will be conducted in will help prepare the children for academic learning when they are older. It will also boost their critical thinking skill from an early age.
