CHAN Kay Lynn joined the International Medical University (IMU) in 2011 and studied the first three years of her psychology degree at the University.

She then transferred to University of Newcastle, Australia in July 2014 to obtain her degree in psychology from the University, the first student to enter this pathway. She is currently working as an Executive in the Learning and Development Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia. She recalls fondly of her experience studying in these two universities.

“Throughout my time in IMU, the lecturers were nothing but brilliant, supportive, kind, generous and helpful. The framework of IMU has helped a lot in my development as a psychology student. We learnt and familiarise ourselves with the concepts and theory first, then apply them, to have a complete understanding of what is taught.

The 3-year Bachelor of Science (Hons) Psychology in IMU, Malaysia’s first and most established private medical and health sciences university with over 24 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education, has a curriculum that has been developed to meet high international standards.

Students have the option to complete the entire psychology degree in IMU or study part of the programme in IMU and transfer to University of Newcastle, Australia or the University of Strathclyde, UK for completion of their degree.

The 3-year Bachelor of Science (Hons) Psychology has also been accepted internationally for further specialisation at the graduate level.

The next commencement date for the Psychology programme is in September. This programme is open to both Arts and Science students. If you enjoy thinking about the causes of human behaviour and have a desire to help people manage their problems, apply now for a great start to an interesting and exciting career in psychology.
