-

KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) has sacked party member Wan Abdillah Edruce Wan Abdul Rahman for contesting as an Independent in Lingga in the state election.

PBB president and Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said Wan Abdillah Edruce who is also known as Boudeng, is no longer a member of PBB.

"I have given orders for him to be sacked. We want to show our displeasure with him," he told reporters in a press conference here, yesterday.

Adenan also reiterated that he had already made it very clear that no independent candidate would be accepted into Barisan Nasional even if they won.

The Lingga constituency will see a three-cornered fight involving Wan Abdillah, BN candidate Simoi Peri and PKR's Abang Zulkifli Abang Engkeh.

PBB on Monday sacked Watson Bangau, a party Supreme Council member and former political secretary to the chief minister for contesting as an independent in the Bawang Assan seat. Bernama
