Three suspected of breaking into prayer house held

KOTA TINGGI: Police have solved the burglary case at the lodging house of Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) player Zaquan Adha Abd Razak following the arrest of three local suspects at Iskandar Puteri early yesterday morning.

Johor police chief Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said three suspects aged between 23 and 39 were nabbed in their hideout at a house in Taman Horizon Hills at about 1.45 am.

He said several items including two cars, a Hyundai Tucson and a Peugeot as well as branded watches and bags and jewellery were recovered in the operation.

“From the suspects, we found various house breaking tools. We are now in the process of remanding them for further investigat­ions,” he told reporters after a Johor police shooting competitio­n with the media at the REM Plantation Shooting Range here today.

In the incident in Taman Bukit Dahlia in Bandar Seri Alam last Friday, three suspects were believed to have prised opened the kitchen window of Mohd Zaquan’s house to gain entry and fled with about valuables worth RM200,000. - Bernama
