Apple employee found dead at main campus

SAN FRANCISCO: An Apple employee was found dead in a conference room at the company’s headquarters on Wednesday in what police were investigating as an ‘isolated incident’.

Deputies from the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office were called to Apple’s main campus in the Silicon Valley city of Cupertino to investigate a report of “a body in a conference room with a gun,” according to a recorded police dispatch exchange available online.

The San Jose Mercury News quoted a sheriff’s spokeswoman as saying deputies found a ‘man down’ and that no one else on the campus or in the public was at risk.— AFP
