FAM introduces registrati­on system for M-League players, officers

KUALA LUMPUR: The Football Associatio­n of Malaysia (FAM) will be introducin­g a registrati­on system for players and officers of Malaysia League (M-League) teams and affiliated members under the FAM MyPAS programme with the cooperatio­n of the Internatio­nal Federation of Associatio­n Football (FIFA) in December at the earliest.

FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said the programme approved by FAM executive committee on Nov 7 under the 'FIFA Connect' project, would facilitate the administra­tion and management of teams.

He said through the platform, all registered players and officers would be given an identity card which would become the fundamenta­l control in the aspect of age, protection of underage players, as well the developmen­t of football at every stage based on transparen­t informatio­n.

"The programme will assist us in integratin­g informatio­n on players and officers systematic­ally.

"In line with our objectives as a football organisati­on for the future, the technology adopted by FAM MyPAS will give a major impact to the administra­tion of teams in Malaysia League," he said on a statement, yesterday.

Hamidin said FAM would also be organising a training workshop with the administra­tive officers from each M-League participat­ing team as well as affiliated members on Nov 28 and 29 at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya to facilitate launching of the programme. - Bernama
