Shell FuelSave Euro 5 launched in Sabah
KOTA KINABALU: Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5, a high quality, fuel-efficient diesel is now available in Sabah following high demands for it on this side of the country.
Made available here about a year after it was launched in Peninsular Malaysia in December 2015, the cleaner diesel fuel is currently available in eight retail stations along west coast of Sabah, with plans to expand its availability at 16 stations in the State.

He was speaking at a launching ceremony held at one of Shell’s retail outlets in Golden Hill Enterprise, here yesterday.
Formulated with Active Efficiency Ingredients, Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 is a cleaner diesel fuel that promises to improve engine efficiency and delivers better mileage. It ignites and burns more effectively to help improve fuel economy.
Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 also contains special detergents that helps protect against the buildup of injector deposits, amongst others.
With an ultra-low sulphur content of only 10 parts per million (ppm) of sulphur compared with 500 ppm of sulphur in Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro2M, Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 is compatible with modern diesel engines.
Asked on why it took the company more than a year to make the high-demand diesel fuel available to this part of the country, Shairan said despite plans to do this earlier, various aspects had to be taken into account and studied, such as the geography and logistics of setting up the required facilities.
Also present to officiate the event were Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. National Sales Manager, Au Tong Sing and Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. Head of Retail Marketing, Ben Mahmud.
“With the launch of Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5, we are giving drivers travelling along the west coast of Sabah, the opportunity to experience our best, most efficient diesel fuel,” added Shairan.
Following the launch, Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 will gradually be made available at 16 stations along the west coast of Sabah.

Bagol Dan Anak, Sipitang; Stesen Minyak Shell Maju, Penampang; Stesen Minyak Wawasan, Kota Kinabalu; Syarikat Kotobu Sdn Bhd, Putatan;T amajaya, Lok Kawi; and Yun Cheong Shell SVC Station, Tanjung Aru.
The current retail price for Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 in Malaysia is RM2.25 per litre.
