BEIJING: Actress Yang Mi has been appointed as a brand ambassador for Estée Lauder.
According to the terms of the contract, she is to represent Estée Lauder in digital, TV and print campaigns only in China and the Asia Pacific markets.
Some of the advertisements are set to debut this month.
Referring to the appointment, Yang Mi said: “I am honoured to represent Estée Lauder. It is a dream come true to join such an iconic beauty brand. I look forward to introducing their incredible products to all my fans.” She follows in the footsteps of top Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, who has attracted much attention for her red carpet appearances and advertising stints for L’Oréal Paris.
Yang Mi is currently on the radar for her role in the drama Eternal Love.
Both Weibo and Baidu list Eternal Love as the most popular drama in China and as one of the most-awaited dramas of this year. On its pilot episode aired on Jan 30, the drama got more than 29 million comments on Sina Weibo.
Yang Mi and Mark Chao star as the High Goddess and Crown Prince, respectively. Eternal Love would show that love transcends worlds and lifetimes as the fantasy drama features deities and demons.
