Kenneth Ma, Jacqueline to pair up in hit series

HONG KONG: Actors Kenneth Ma and Jacqueline Wong are taking their real-life romance to the TV screen in the hit series Deep in the Realm of Conscience 2. Filming has started. During a celebratory dinner to mark the wrapping of the comedy drama Miscellaneous Cops, she was teased about being impatient to meet her lover.

Feigning ignorance, she said: “Who’s my lover? I’ll be meeting with (co-star) Annie Liu today!”

Asked for an update on her romance with Kenneth, Jacqueline said: “I’ve been busy with filming recently.”

When reporters commented that Kenneth doesn’t like to take initiative, she shot back: “We’re all like that!”

Is that because he is somewhat reticent? Jacqueline replied: “Probably. Ask him!”

She has already received the script for the episode where her character first meets Kenneth. But that part has not been filmed.

On what happens between their characters in the sequel to the hit series, Jacqueline said vaguely: “Some unrequited love. Some awkwardness, like that.”

When reporters pointed out that it sounded like the two of them in real life, she raised her eyebrows and said: “Really? Maybe you guys are just following the script! Our story is very interesting. I also like my story with Annie.”

On whether she and Kenneth shall be kissing for the cameras, she replied: “I don’t know yet! Ask the producer! I don’t know our ending yet, but I look forward to reading it.”
