Yeo also praised The Glass for its outstanding efforts in preserving the environment.

Yeo noted that The Glass had been active in environmentalfriendly activities such as the re-selling of used oil and it also briefed its employees on the topic of staff’s grooming on a daily basis.

Ever since the Anti-Litter Bug Campaign was launched, there has been over 155 litter-free premises in Kota Kinabalu.

Yeo said that the main goal of the Anti-Litter bug campaign was to transform Kota Kinabalu into a litter-free city.

Yeo hoped that, through this campaign, the number of litterfree zones in Kota Kinabalu would slowly increase and thus the whole city would be litterfree.

“DBKK emphasizes on the concept S.A.C which stands for S: Stop from littering, A: Advise those who litter and C: Collect when you see rubbish,” added Yeo.

Yeo also encouraged the public to spread awareness regarding the Anti-Litter Bug Campaign to their friends and families.

Yeo explained that a restaurant’s litter-free recognition can always be revoked if the restaurant fails to comply with the litter-free rules.

Yeo’s speech was read by Bahari Hassan, the Deputy Director General (Management Services) of DBKK.

Bahari also officiated at the ceremony, which was held at The Glass’ premises on behalf of Yeo.

Also present at the event were Tan King Way, the General Manager of The Glass, Florence Chin, Suria Sabah’s Phase 2 Manager, Chef Wahab Awang, the head chef of The Glass and Syron Tunggolou, the Director of Complaints and Public Relations Department.
