LAHAD DATU: Tungku assemblyman Datuk Mohd Suhaili Said died yesterday of a liver disease at Gleneagles Hospital and Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur. He was 56.

The news of Mohd Suhaili’s demise was confirmed by Umno Silam division secretary Rajesh Datuk Mohd Yusof.

Mohd Suhaili has been Tungku assemblyman for four terms since 2001 and Silam Umno deputy chief for four terms.

Rajesh said Suhaili was a great leader and his death was a great loss, especially to the people who have always been his priority in carrying out his duties as elected representative.

His brother, Muhamad Ghazali, said Mohd Suhaili had flown to Kuala Lumpur to attend a meeting of the Felda board of directors when he was admitted to hospital on March 17.
