Selangor BN launches 'Ops Yawas'

KUALA SELANGOR: The Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) has launched 'Ops Yawas', aimed at getting the people to report to the authorities on the alleged misappropriation of fund under the 'Skim Mesra Usia Emas' (SMUE) by the Selangor government.

Its chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar, said the state BN had received many complaints from people expressing dissatisfaction over the management of the SMUE fund.

They claimed that payment of RM2,500 per person in funeral expenses was not paid to beneficiaries of the scheme, he told reporters after meeting victims of a thunderstorm in Kampung Bestari Jaya yesterday.
