Hap Seng launches 1,024 units of affordable apartments in Tawau

TAWAU: Hap Seng Properties Developmen­t Sdn Bhd launched 1,024 units of Bandar Sri Indah (BSI) South Ville Apartments at BSI, Batu 10, Apas Road yesterday with prices starting at RM200,000 for three-bedroom units.

The company will provide RM30,000 subsidy to the firsttime home buyers in line with the government’s aim to ensure that every citizen could have a home at an affordable price. It is also offering an exclusive promotion package amounting to RM20,000 for each unit of the apartment.

The launching ceremony was officiated by Assistant Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, who represente­d minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Mohd Noor.

In his speech, Hajiji said Hap Seng Properties Sdn Bhd had stepped further forward in providing comprehens­ive recreation­al facilities and oriented healthy lifestyle apart from quality and innovative housing developmen­t to the community in BSI.

He said the government is a business-friendly government which cares for the housing industry just as much as it cares for the house buyers’ interest. Thus, the government took steps to address an issue which has been affecting housing developers in Sabah for many years.

Meanwhile, the Chief Operating Officer of Hap Seng Properties Developmen­t Sdn Bhd, John Tan, disclosed that in the pipeline this year for Bandar Sri Indah’s transforma­tion, residents will soon be able to enjoy a host of new amenities which include the long distance bus terminal, petrol station, new water reservoir with a capacity of 1,040,000 gallons of water (to minimise water issue in the township) and a new Southern Central Lake garden with another 13 acres of recreation facilities such as family/children activities area, scenic lake, jetty and jogging track.

In order to mark its appreciati­on for the existing buyers of Hap Seng Properties, Hap Seng is also set to launch its loyalty program by offering attractive packages for upgrading of their property or investing in additional properties. The privilege incentives include up to two per cent price reduction of the property value. The loyalty members will also be offered incentive schemes to be an ambassador of Hap Seng by introducin­g new purchasers to invest in its properties.

John said this scheme was a sign of Hap Seng’s confidence in the people of Tawau and their confidence in Hap Seng.
