Shell model’s image ‘molested’ by customers
KUALA LUMPUR: Customers have “molested” the advertisements featuring the image of a model at Shell petrol stations.
Nor Shafila Khairusalleh, the 25-year-old petrol station supervisor featured in the advertisements, tried not to bothered by the “cheeky” actions of the male customers who held her image’s hands, kissed her cheek and even grabbed her breast.
She however admitted that she was disturbed by men “molesting” her likeness and when they go overboard.
“If little things like covering the eyes, pinching the nose or hug I can still accept since it’s just a poster … but if it is towards harassment or sexual, I feel that is too far,” she said in a report by mStar Online.
“They may just be joking, but I feel ashamed because that is still myself although it is just an image,” she added, referring to the advertisements.
Several photos showing men “molesting” Nor Shafila’s images have been making the rounds on social media.
Nor Shafila said that her husband admitted he was distressed seeing men “molest” her image but he is understanding. She also does not plan to sue any of the “molesters”.
“But if after this there are others who purposely take photos not to just merely get viral, maybe I will think of something.”
