MIRI: A GrabCar driver lodged a police report on Saturday night after his vehicle was smashed by four unknown men near E-mart Tudan.

Prior to the incident, the victim received a call around 10.30pm from one of the suspects, who pretended to be a customer, asking to be picked up at E-mart.

The victim, who has been a GrabCar driver for the past two months, said upon reaching E-mart, he exited his car and went to open the boot to put the customer’s belongings inside.

At that juncture, three other men suddenly appeared and all four individuals began smashing his car’s windows and doors.

“The victim claimed that he did not know the suspects. We believe that they are in their 20s. The suspects also took the victim’s car key prior to fleeing in their car,” he said.
