MySports Photography, Short Video contests in SayangMalaysia promo

-

PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) is organising a #MySports Photography and Short Video contests in conjunction with the #SayangMalaysia social media campaign.

The ministry said those who wished to participate must first become followers (fans) of MOTAC’s official Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts to be eligible for the contests.

“It is as easy as using both hashtags, namely #MySports and #SayangMalaysia in their (participants) postings on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter accounts,” it said in a statement here yesterday.

As for the short video entries, the ministry said the duration must be between 30 and 60 seconds and should be related to interesting moments experienced by the participants at any sporting event in Malaysia, such as the upcoming SEA Games, badminton championships and many more.

The contests were being held to encourage local and foreign tourists to share their happy moments while on holiday in Malaysia and to introduce the country’s unique attractions to the world, which would be part of the reviews for Malaysia’s tourism industry across the internet later, it said.

#MySports is the fourth sub-theme for the #SayangMalaysia campaign after #MyCuisine, #MyDestination and #MyCulture. Other subthemes to be introduced include #MyEvents (from Sept to Oct) and #MyFamilyFun (Nov to Dec).

The winners of the #MySports contest would be announced via the MOTAC Facebook and Instagram accounts on the second week of August.
