Bazaar to celebrate ATI College’s 20th anniversary

-

KOTA KINABALU: ATI College diploma students of hotel, tourism and event management courses organized a bazaar to commemorate 20th anniversary of the college.

It also served as part fulfilment of the students’ event management subject in order to complete their studies.

Led by their lecturer Marcus Solibun and student leader Amanda Carmen, the participants prepared for the event from June to August with 20 booths set up at ATI College.

The vendors offered cooked food, fruits, drinks and other items.

“This event is really a great experience for every one of us as we got to know our classmates better and we got closer from this event.

“I would also like to thank the public who came to support us, by visiting our booths and buying our products. Thanks to the outside vendors as well who came to sell their products and make our event even livelier and exciting,” said Amanda.

She said this event enabled the students to hone and develop their skills in organizing, in conducting research, coordination and execution.

Amanda said that having gone through these experiences at a young age would enable them to familiarize with the working skills that they would need for employment once they graduated.

ATI College emphasizes not only theory learning but hands on as well, as this is important for them to understand the kind of work ethics and experience that they will undergo upon completion of their studies.

Hands-on learning also comes from the six months internship that the students will go through and upon completion of their two years studies.

Upon graduation, 90% of ATI College’s students are able to obtain jobs in their respective industries both locally and overseas whilst the other 10% choose to start up their own business based on a research study made by ATI College’s management team.

Students now have the option to continue their Bachelor’s Degree studies at ATI College.

Recently, ATI College offered a Bachelor in Hotel and Business Management in collaboration with Nilai University.

ATI College’s alumni and diploma students are welcome to continue their degree studies at ATI College at reasonable course fees.

Besides continuing their Bachelor studies locally, students also have the option to continue their studies overseas via affiliations and partnership.

Recently ATI College fostered a new partnership with Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland.
